Obituary of Noreen Elizabeth MacKay

After a lengthy but courageous battle with cancer, at home with her family by her side, on Monday, August 26, 2002. Noreen Elizabeth MacKay (nee Churney) of Strathroy in her 62nd year. Beloved wife for 39 years of Garry MacKay. Loving mother of Anne Louise and Willy Timmermans, Marcy and Brad Denning all of Strathroy and Carole and Bob Dubs of Sarnia. Dear nanny of Chad, Drew and Colin MacKay-Timmermans, Damon, Connor and Danielle Denning and Taylor, Emily and Naomi Dubs. Daughter-in-law of Evelyn (MacKay) and Walker Hawke of Barrie. Sister of Fred and Ursula Churney, Erma and Bob Rivers, Gerry and Mike Clarke all of London and Billie and Jim Fidler of Strathroy. Sister-in-law of Bonnie and Ken Cranney of Orillia, Wayne and Charlotte MacKay of Clareshome, Alberta and Debbie and Kevin Watton of Barrie. Also loved and missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Tilly and Bill Churney, brother Ted, sister-in-law Yogi Churney and stepmother Mary Churney (Clarke). Visitation at the Denning Bros. Funeral Home, 32 Metcalfe St. W., Strathroy on Tuesday, August 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM with prayers at 1:45 PM. Mass of Christian Burial at All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Front Street, Strathroy on Wednesday, August 28 at 11 AM with Father John Sharp officiating. Interment in All Saints Cemetery. Donations to Ovarian Cancer Research (LHSC) or the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
