Obituary of Philip Jackson
At his residence on Friday, August 10, 2007, Philip James Jackson of Strathroy in his 71 st. year. Phil leaves his loving wife of 51 years Marie Jackson (Armes); his children Lynda & Bob Kerr, Karen & Mike Blondin all of Bright's Grove, Richard Jackson of London and Kate & Bill O'Shea of Callander, Ontario. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Kelley & Chad, Nathaniel, Sara, Lorena and Liam. Great grandfather of Aidan, Meghan and Xander. Brother of Ernie Jackson of London and brother-in-law to Ray & Joan LeCuyer of Victoria, B.C. , John Gustin of London , Nancy Mott, Lorna and Carl Edmondson of Thunder Bay. Phil retired 15 years ago from Imperial Oil in Sarnia and has worked as a painter and anything else his many skills would allow him to do for you. Always busy, always friendly with a joke and a laugh. Phil enjoyed kicking back at the end of each busy day with his wife Marie, a glass of red wine and a cigar. Phil was much loved and will be missed by all those lives he touched especially through the Strathroy Lion's Club where he was a member for 30 years. Visitation will be held in the Denning Bros. Funeral Home, 32 Metcalfe St. W., Strathroy on Monday, August 13, 2007 from 3:30 to 4:30 P.M. when a Funeral Service will be held with Rev. Fr. Willi Kammerer officiating. Cremation to follow. Donations to the charity of your choice or the Ontario Humane Society would be appreciated. A Lion's Memorial Services will be held in the Funeral Home Monday at 3:30 P.M.
