Obituary of Sarah Walker

Peacefully at Craigwiel Gardens Nursing Home, Ailsa Craig, on Tuesday, December 27, 2011, Sarah Anne "Sadie" Walker (nee Allen) in her 100th year. Born in Huron County June 13th 1912. Predeceased by her husband John Eldon Walker (1983), brother Lawrence Allen (1988) and sister Irene Egan (1989). Survived by her brothers Don, Adolphus and Ron Allen as well as many nieces and nephews. Sarah and her husband John were foster parents for 42 years. During that time they were parents to over 20 children. Seven of whom continue to call her mom throughout there adult lives Harry Pullen, Bob Rhodda, Richard Harsen, Ted Walker, Ken Roffel, Lynne Deane and Dawn Lucas as well as all of their families. Friends will be received on Thursday, December 29th from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm at T. Stephenson & Son Funeral Home, 171 Ailsa Craig Main Street, Ailsa Craig (519) 293-3331 where a funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, December 30th at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow in Carlisle Cemetery at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Carlisle United Church.
